Counseling is available in midtown Manhattan or for far away clients by phone/post or email.

The nutrition counseling is designed tol provide you with the foundation to make sense of from the overwhelming nutrition messages everywhere and make practical and doable changes that make a difference to your well being.

It is this difference in energy and well being that will help to keep you focused to build on the good food habits you all ready.
The counseling includes:

(a) a comprehensive nutrition profile, including nutrition lifestyle goals.
(b) Analyze current nutritional status and lifestyle behavior patterns.
(c) Strategies for stable change
(d) Specific recommendations to assist in following your plan.
(e) Suggestions to reduce stress so there is more awareness of how it affects daily health choices
(f) Tips on the little things you tell yourself every day that can tremendously affect your health through the their impact on your stress levels, food relationships and lifestyle.

To prepare for your first session:

- Provide any recent labs blood results
- If required, obtain a referral from your medical doctor
-- Please complete the Nutrition Assessment questionnaire and email it at least a week before the session so that I have an assessment ready when we meett.

Your first session is very comprehensive, we will spend an hour or more to:

- Go over your current nutritional status and patterns of eating
- Go over any recent lab results related to your nutritional status
- Review nutritional supplements
- Build a treatment plan to outline influences that affect your food choices
- Plan target changes that will focus to enhance your well being
- this first session will include meal plan and recipes
- tracking material to assess changes in follow up sessions.

You follow up sessions:
These are very important. It is easy to lose focus with all the emotional distractions, stress and environmental pitfalls we encounter every day.
Ffailure to get support is the most frequent reason people do not keep to changes in food habits

People who need to make considerable dietary changes and make them fast are going to need e support and follow-up.
. Some people who don't have serious problems still need the support.
If you live far away you can mail in a food record every few weeks and I will give feedback either through the mail or over the phone
